In 2004, to honor the occasion of the Sesquicentennial of General Trexler’s birth, the Lehigh County Historical Society engaged local historian, newsman and author Frank A. Whelan to encapsulate the life of an extraordinary man. Mr. Whelan’s research gathered from diverse sources provides us with an essay that reconstructs a memory of Lehigh County and a man whose influence continues to change it.
