Mr. Fraenkel is a retired Senior Vice-President of Wealth Management with Morgan Stanley. His wife Lisa is a retired Art Teacher from the Jewish Day School in Allentown, and they have three children and four grandchildren.
Mr. Fraenkel graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972 with a B.A. in English, and received an MBA in Finance from the Wharton Graduate Division of the University of Pennsylvania in 1974. He was previously employed as a research editor at Goldman Sachs in New York and as the controller of the former Penn Linen and Uniform Service in Allentown.
As a board member of the Jewish Federation of Lehigh Valley, Mr. Fraenkel has served as president, campaign chair, allocations chair, personnel chair, and an honorary vice president. He is also a board member and past president of the Jewish Community Center, a former board member and treasurer of the Jewish Family Service, a former board member of the Temple Beth El, and a former board member of AAA East Penn. He is also an officer of the Charles and Figa Kline Foundation. Mr. Fraenkel was appointed a Trexler Trustee in 2008.
He is a recipient of both the George Feldman Achievement Award and the Schiff Award from the Jewish Federation, and he was honored by the Jewish Day School in 2000 for his leadership in the community.
